Stress and relaxation are just two sides of the same coin, or like a see-saw they go up and down from time to time yet both are part of life. So when you feel that you are out of balance just try making an adjustment by doing some of the opposite.

Here is an article that you could find interesting:

Stress is a bit sneaky. At first you feel good. You have a busy life and you like it. You are happy in your job and with your relationship, your home and your children. But while you continue to work hard you feel that it is not as much fun as it used to be. So now you will have to watch out. At first, a bit of stress helped you to do your work the best way. But as soon you’re not enjoying it anymore, the negative stress slips into your life.

Why is negative stress slipping into your life, while at first everything was fine? You don’t really do much more work than before. You were always busy, but now it seems to be more difficult. The reason? You forgot to allow enough relaxation into your life and especially into your mind. Maybe you took enough time off. But your mind was still busy. It is important to give your mind some free time. If your mind is not relaxing anymore, stress will accumulate and it will become impossible to resolve your stress automatically. You will notice that you are not happy anymore.

What can you do to solve your accumulated stress?

Check out these suggested techniques. You’ll find a list of them by clicking here

Recognize that it is all in your mind. You should know that negative stress and a feeling of happiness don’t cooperate. There are many ways to solve your stress. One of them is: become happy again and your stresses will disappear like snow in the sunshine.

How to solve stress through becoming happy again? I guess that you are working hard. You have probably forgotten what you liked to do when you were young. Did you like to do sports or did you like to listen to music? Maybe you liked painting or maybe you were lying on the beach for hours on end. You just should find out what it is that used to make you happy.

Reserve some space and time in your life for those hobbies and feel happy again.

You’ll see that when you are feeling happy, your stress will be dissolved. Find out how.

Stress can happen at many levels. People often talk about stress at work but it can also happen in the family too. Even inside of ourselves, full of self judgement as we are.

The best antidote to stress is relaxation and this can be achieved in a number of ways some of which are listed below:

Use the latest techniques in Energy Therapy to release stress, anxiety and chronic pain

Causes of Stress

Can we ever hope to match up to our own expectations of ourselves, of others, of society. Phew! Even the thought of it all is enough to make you feel exhausted.

I think stress comes about either when we are not ready to accept a situation as it is – for whatever reason – or when we are in conflict about something. Sometimes the reasons are pressing and urgent, as in situations of abuse or oppression or ill health when there is a definite need to do something as soon as possible. Here stress acts as a kind of motivator to push us to make changes aimed at achieving some kind of resolution or release.

At other times the causes of stress can be more subtle like being dissatisfied with one’s present achievement or wanting to cook an omelette and finding no eggs in the fridge or wanting a raucous night out with your friends and weighing up the cost of an argument with your partner who would much prefer a cosy night in alone with you.

In this modern day and age the fast pace of life alone can act as a major source of stress and we can often find ourselves not even having time to think or relax for a minute, being caught up in a whirlwind of daily chores and tasks that seem to endlessly demand our attention one after another until we finally drop exhausted into bed for yet another restless night’s sleep.

How does stress affect health?

We are all looking for peace at some level and anything that disturbs it could be classified as a stressor. When enough of these adrenalin driven stressors accumulate they can have an impact on your body, suppressing the immune system and resulting in ill health, from minor ailments to more serious diseases.

In fact heart problems, which are a major cause of death in the Western world include stress as a major contributory factor. Other stress related illnesses and conditions might include chronic fatigue or M.E, migraines, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorders, arthritis, ulcers, continual colds and flu, alcoholism, drug abuse and cancer.

What can we do about it?

The most important thing is first of all to recognise just what an impact stress can have on your body, your relationships, your happiness, if left untreated. In fact we need to be motivated to change and regain a sense of control once more. Maybe it would be a good idea to sit down and make a list of all the things that are causing you stress. This on its own often brings clarity as you start to see where you can make some changes or where you may need to accept something as it is.

When you are relaxed your immune system functions more efficiently and you are able to think more clearly.

Your perception of life becomes much more optimistic and hopeful.

In terms of health the risk of contracting serious illnesses like heart disease and cancer over time becomes vastly reduced increasing the chances of living a long healthy and happy life. Isn’t that what we all ultimately want?

Whether you work outside the home, work from home, or do volunteer work, there are generally situations that will arise and cause you stress.

Quite often it is the buildup of stress at work that leads to employees having to take time off for a day or two, or maybe even longer, depending on the ways in which they handle the stress.

Sometimes you may feel more stress over a particular situation than with others when you are under time constraints or if you are bothered by co-workers. The way you deal with this stress can greatly affect the way in which you can carry out your duties, your health, and the way in which you relate to and communicate with those around you.

It is next to impossible to avoid stress altogether. That is the first thing you should realize about managing stress. If you attempt to avoid it all the time, it can have a negative effect on your performance and your health. It is also essential that you realize that it is not the pressures of work themselves that are causing your symptoms of stress but the manner in which you perceive and handle them.

Learn how to handle the way you react to situations

More and more companies are realizing that the devastating effect of stress at work is costing them money in extra wages. Therefore, many of them are incorporating stress reduction strategies into the workplace, such as setting aside days that employees can take as “mental health” days, paying for gym memberships, and having massage therapy included as part of the benefits package.

How about learning to Laugh your stress away? See here

Many of the businesses and corporations today that employ jobs considered to be “high stress jobs” have trained counselors on staff to help employees deal with not only the stress they feel at work, but with any stress they have in their lives outside of the workplace.

One way to deal with stress at work is to recognize the symptoms of stress that you may have. Since stress affects everyone differently, you may have different symptoms than the next person. The physical effects of stress can include headaches, back pain, disrupted sleep patterns, allergies, and stomach problems.

Nail biting is a habit that has also been attributed to stress.

Find out how to break habits

If left unchecked, these symptoms can bring on more serious medical conditions, such as high blood pressure and heart disease. You may also have psychological symptoms; such as mood swings, irritability, depression, or become angry very quickly over seemingly inconsequential situations.

Not all stress at work is bad for you. Some types of stress will actually help you feel better about yourself and enhance your performance. One example of this is a potential situation where your boss places you in charge of a challenging project and tells you that you are the best person for the job because of your past experience and abilities. Although this situation will probably mean you have to work longer hours, you are excited by the prospect of this new challenge and are likely looking forward to rise to the challenge.

Let the Laf Doc show you how to get stress relief

You should accept the fact that you will encounter stress at work and should do your best to be prepared for this as a way to combat stress. Being physical is one way of reducing the effect that stress has on your body because when you exercise, you can work your muscles to release the buildup of toxins that can exasperate the problem.

When you feel stress at work it is also important to talk to someone about your problems so that you may be able to work out a solution and not allow yourself to get overwhelmed. Sometimes all it takes to give you a different outlook on the situation is to sit down and take some long, deep breaths.

Meditation has long been recognised as an antidote to stress. See how
