Have you ever felt that apprehension was preventing you from reaching your true and full potential in life?

If so, you are certainly not alone

It is one of the biggest obstacles that many people face when wanting to create a better life for themselves.

It can stop you in your tracks!

Here is something that can help overcome it

Transform Your Fear Into Happiness, Peace and Inspiration

Nervousness symptoms come from various triggering factors such as repression of hurtful experiences. This is an outcome of a biological imbalance or as a part of a group of psychological and mental disorders.

The usual symptoms of anxiety are as follows:

Sensations of heartburn, diarrhea, indigestion plus constipation

Occurrence of the symptoms of urinary tract infection which may start as excessive urination

 Sexual dysfunction

 Skin rashes

 Insomnia

It is also possible that the person having attacks of apprehension could experience several of these symptoms:

 Nightmares

 Increased aggression

 Enlarged depression

Influenza-like symptoms such as weakening of the muscles, achy plus clammy-like feelings

 Headaches

 Uncomfortable eyes

 Hormonal imbalances

More often than not, apprehension could extend to more aggravated cases like anxiety and panic attacks and some types of personality and psychological disorders like Generalized Nervousness Disease, Post-traumatic Stress Disease plus specific phobias.

Specific disorders produce certain physical, psychological and interpersonal symptoms of fear. For example, people with agoraphobia develop a unique behavior of seclusion.

Because there are a wide range of anxiety symptoms that could be displayed in a wide array of disorders, it is easy to dismiss these perhaps as simple attacks of nervousness or normal blue days. so it is important to check out the symptoms more carefully

Periods of depression or mania may last from just a few months to one whole year, this will depend on each individual. Bipolar manic patients can sometimes be referred to as mania or hypo mania (not a severe form of mania). With hypo mania, victims may be easily irritated, very sensitive and have a severe elevated mood. People with mania symptoms have big plans, involving themselves in several projects and are very talkative. The high risk for those bipolar manic victims is the use of alcohol or cocaine.

Anti-Psychotic Drugs

The presence of psychotic thoughts, leading to highly charged emotional responses and judgment errors which can render them incapable of communicating, is the main symptoms for those with bipolar mania. It is important before these thoughts get out of control, patients must be given mood stabilizing medicine to control their symptoms. These drugs may include:

Clorazil : For treating schizophrenia was first used in Europe in 1971. It is one of the first antipsychotic drug to be developed.

Risperdal: Under this market name, was developed by Janssen-Cilag as an antipsychotic drug for the treatment of schizophrenia. It was later used for mixed and mania episodes and children with autism disease.

Zyprexa: A combination of fluoxetine Symbyax was FDA approved as an antipsychotic for treating schizophrenia, only later used in the treatment of bipolar.

First Line Medications

The first-line of the treatment of severe bipolar manic episodes for most doctors are:

Lithium: A drug primarily for bipolar mania, is a chemical salts and used as a mood stabilizer.

Valproate: A replacement to lithium salts is believed reverse the brain process and affect the function of the neurotransmitter. It is used in bipolar treatment . Its main work is to stop or block transamination of GABA.

Monotherapy: Approved by FDA for treating bipolar manic and bipolar I patients.

Family as a Therapy

A lot of people who are bipolar manic or who have depressive episodes forget that the first line therapy is a family-focused therapy which can be quite effective for bipolar patients. Bipolar Manic states can be made worse by bad blood running within family members. With this family-focused therapy, all members of the family must help to contribute by trying to manage their individual behaviors so to reduce stress and a catalyst for the symptom to reoccur. The primary goal of this bipolar treatment -family therapy is be alert to the signs and symptoms of bipolar manic symptoms and how to handle it properly when the signs start to appear.

A New Therapy – Dialectal Behavior

This kind of behavior therapy was first started by Dr. Marsha Linehan in which patients go through different stages of therapy which finally can lead them to taking control of their behaviors. One of the main focus of this therapy is patients learn to accept and control their thought patterns.

For bipolar manic patients, building on these stages requires skill training. But the first stage goals is to reduce these behaviors which are self-threatening and an obstruction to bipolar treatment.

Stress management is not only an urgent need in today’s fast-paced lifestyle, but an important factor in both physical and mental health.

It is a psychological approach which teaches people, skills to cope with anxiety and stress.

Also it is all about understanding where your stress is coming from, and finding ways to alleviate it, and also to manage your life so that it becomes easier and much more enjoyable.

>> Alleviate stress with laughter therapy: Click here

Stress management, when practised regularly is most effective. It is the application of methods to either reduce stress or increase tolerance to it. It is your ability to maintain control when situations, people, and events make excessive demands on you. Managing stress is a key to happiness. It is your ability to effectively manage the pressures you feel at work and at home. It is also about knowing your limits.

A complete nutritional approach, combined with proper fitness maintenance and stress management is most important. Here’s why managing your stress is important: stress wears your body out and can be harmful in the long run.

Workplace stress management is a great way of making sure that you can get through the workday in peace and then go home with little or no stress weighing on your mind. The key to stress management is to determine the right amount of stress that will give you energy, ambition, and enthusiasm versus the wrong amount which can harm your health and well-being.

One of the first rules of effective stress management is positive thinking and behavior. Exactly how exercise helps in relaxation and stress management is not clear. At work, stress management is a breeze when you let employees take on tasks that fit their skill and interest. Another strategy for stress management is to live in the moment. Fortunately, stress management is largely a learnable skill.

Stress

Stress is your response to any physical, emotional or intellectual demands. Stress management includes following a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and making time for uninterrupted relaxation.

>> Find uninterrupted relaxation with relaxation CD’s

Nutrition is one area where stress can be reduced most effectively, because we eat every day at least 3 times a day, so even the smallest of changes could bring about significant benefits. Stress can and does also result from unbalanced and inappropriate nutrition; excessive use of socially acceptable intoxicants; suppressive drugs and vaccinations; environmental toxins; negative emotions; lack of physical exercise; genetic factors; and improper body alignment.

>> Change your diet, change your stress

Stress is a normal part of life. It is an unavoidable consequence of life and it is not something exclusive of the human beings, because the animals also have it. Stress is the answer of the body in response to external conditions that are perceived as dangerous, worrying or irritating.

Symptoms of stress can be either behavioral or physical. And some people who have a chronic illness may find that the symptoms of their illness flare up under an overload of stress.

All you need to do is relax, get control of that stress. More recently, however, it has been argued that external circumstances do not have any intrinsic capacity to produce stress, but instead their effect is mediated by the individual’s perceptions, capacities, and understanding. The model breaks the stressor-stress link by proposing that if stressors are perceived as positive or challenging rather than a threat, and if the stressed person is confident that he or she possesses adequate rather than deficient coping strategies, stress may not necessarily follow the presence of a potential stressor.

The model conceptualizes stress as a result of how a stressor is appraised and how a person appraises his/her resources to cope with the stressor. The model proposes that stress can be reduced by helping stressed people change their perceptions of stressors, providing them with strategies to help them cope and improving their confidence in their ability to do so.

>> Change how you see stress with the latest Law of Attraction techniques

Anxiety

Anxiety is stress, tension and strain brought onto one’s body and mind. Anxiety can be broken down into two types: Somatic -sweaty palms, pain in neck or sick to the stomach & cognitive. Anxiety may be due to not feeling that you are not in control. These symptoms may manifest themselves psychologically as irritability, anxiety, impaired concentration, mental confusion, poor judgment, frustration and anger.

We are aware that people that suffer from Anxiety Disorders have problems mixing in social gatherings and I myself have found that online chat, forums and even voice chat can be an excellent way to deal with anxieties, because you avoid one of the big things many people with social anxiety are afraid of: Meeting people. Stress-related disorders include a broad array of conditions, including depression, anxiety, dissatisfaction, fatigue, tension, aggression, substance abuse, impairment in concentration and memory problems.

Note: Tranquilizers, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety medications account for one fourth of all prescriptions written in the USA.

Exercise can help to relieve stress, tension, and anxiety. By expelling your excess negative emotions and adrenaline through physical activity, you can enter a more relaxed, calm state of being from which to deal with the issues and conflicts that are causing your anxiety.

Exercise is one of the most important coping medium to combat anxiety and stress. Exercise may trigger a neurophysiologic surge of adrenaline or endorphins- that produces an antidepressant effect in some, an anti anxiety effect in others, and a general sense of “feeling better” in most. Frequent exercise is an effective treatment for anxiety and, according to some research, is as effective as psychotherapy in treating mild or moderate depression.

Other researchers have found that light exercise, such as walking or swimming, decreases anxiety just as effectively as vigorous jogging does. (I.e. if you suffer from physical symptoms of anxiety such as gastrointestinal problems, sweating, palpitations, pacing back and forth, etc).

On the other hand, if your anxiety is caused by psychological causes such as worrying, difficulty concentrating or intrusive thoughts, you may find more relief from mental exercises such as meditation, imagery, prayer or other form of mental relaxation.

>> Learn how to meditate. Click here

Exercising too much may lead to a state of fatigue characterized by anxiety or depression, insomnia, and a loss of interest in personal life.

Symptoms

Symptoms of stress can be either behavioral or physical. Symptoms of despair and hopelessness may be experienced in acute stress disorder and may be sufficiently severe and persistent to meet criteria for a major depressive episode. Symptoms of Acute Stress Disorder are experienced during or immediately after the trauma, last for at least 2 days, and either resolve within 4 weeks after the conclusion of the traumatic event or the diagnosis is changed.

These symptoms may manifest themselves psychologically as irritability, anxiety, impaired concentration, mental confusion, poor judgment, frustration and anger. Common physical symptoms of stress include: muscle tension, headaches, low back pain.

Most, however tend to ignore the problem as they are unaware of the symptoms. If the stress symptoms persist during many days, it is reasonable to go to see a doctor or to request psychological support.

Lifestyle

A commitment to live a healthier lifestyle should never take a back seat. In the alternative, if stress is more the result of one’s lifestyle, eliminating the stress causing factors and/or gaining healthful insight on how to alleviate stress the right way might just be the best thing for an individual to do for themselves.

For these reasons, stress management is vital to being successful at work and living a healthy lifestyle and it is steadily increasing in importance due to today’s busy and demanding lifestyles.

Those of you who have had a panic or anxiety attack, know what it is and how it feels. You know the terror of the heart pounding in their chest, and the other symptoms, which combined leave you concerned for your life. Your doctor and maybe even your friends may have told you that it is all in the mind and to pull yourself together and then you’ve worried that it is in your head and your losing your mind. For those that haven’t suffered with an anxiety attack, it’s difficult to work out what all the fuss is about. Well let’s take a closer look.

What are the Symptoms of an Anxiety Attack?

There are both mental and physical symptoms of an anxiety attack. Both can be debilitating. They can last anywhere from a few seconds to hours. The average anxiety attack is around half an hour. They can be mild, or so intense that a trip to the emergency room seems in order. The physical effects range from: Feeling dizzy, or faint, is also a common symptom to an anxiety attack. Click here for more on what are the symptoms of an Anxiety Attack

The mental symptoms are just as difficult to deal with. The feeling of losing the mind, losing control or dying is not uncommon. While they aren t likely to die from an anxiety attack, the terror of an attack can be literally paralyzing. The feeling of fear, panic, and dread can leave the sufferer feeling like they re either going to go crazy or leave them in a state of shock.

What are the Causes?

Anxiety attacks have several causes. First, heredity or genetics plays a part. If you have members of your family that have experienced anxiety attacks you may have a greater likelihood of suffering with them also. However, those without this trait can also have them. A persons upbringing will have an influence of the risk to an attack. Studies show that those who are raised with a fearful outlook on life and their surroundings are more likely to have this disorder, as are those who have a very passive communication style. Click here to learn more about cures for Anxiety Attacks

Other physical conditions can also have an impact. For instance compulsive obsessive disorder, a vitamin B deficiency, post traumatic stress disorder, hypoglycemia or an unbalanced thyroid can cause panic or anxiety attacks. Chemicals too can cause anxiety attacks. These include drugs like anti-depressants but also more commonly alcohol, nicotine and caffeine.

Finally, if the sufferer has a history of phobias, panic attacks of family bereavement, this is also likely to increase the risk of an anxiety attack.

The summer months are usually a time of fun and happiness. For SAD sufferers it is a different story in the winter

You have a skip in your step, the birds are singing and you have the warm sun on your face. Come winter however and for a lot of people the mood changes. 3% of people suffer from a condition known as Seasonal Affective Disorder, which normally strikes every year, and a further 12% have reported mild cases.

Lethargy, mood swings, muscle pains and generally feeling low are among the many that people report. What causes this is not known exactly, but we do know that one of the major influences is lower light levels in winter causing brain and body chemical communication errors. The eyes are very sensitive to light levels and if there is not enough of it around, they will trigger the body to release melatonin in to the blood stream, making us feel lethargic and tired.

Believe it or not we can reduce the effect of Seasonal Affective Disorder by being careful about what we surround ourselves with in our homes. Living room and additionally bedroom furniture are often the most important to get right as these are the rooms that we spend most of our time in. Purchasing white furniture for example white wardrobes, tables and chairs will increase the amount of light that is reflected around the room and will have a large impact on mood.

A minimal approach to furniture is also a good idea as this helps open up rooms and reduces the feeling of being cluttered. If you have fewer pieces of furniture in a room, the light has a better opportunity to reflect around it and you will also be able to navigate it easier. You can also add to the efficiency of light circulation around a room by painting the walls in a light colour.

Some ideas for reducing the amount of furniture you have include only having your table large enough for everyday use and taking away or adding chairs if and when you need them, only have one bedside table instead of one each side, and getting rid of small pieces that only have aesthetic value.

Dealing with feelings of fear and dread

There is one doctor, Dr Claire Weekes, that has an exceptional international reputation for her work in the field of nervous disorders. Doctors and treatment centers from several different countries recommend her work. She was the first woman Doctor of Science at Sydney University and was recognized by Queen Elizabeth 2nd for her work. She was twice nominate for a Nobel Peace Prize, in 1983 and 1990 and is hailed as one of the pioneers of self help in psychiatry.

Click here to find out more about physical anxiety symptoms?

Dr Claire Weekes passed away in 1990; however her knowledge and skills are still as relevant and efficaious as they were when she developed them.

All of her work was based on 3 principles: her own experience as a sufferer of anxiety, her exceptional scientific knowledge and her study of her own patients. She never tried to claim the credit for curing people but instead showed them how to cure themselves. Dr Weekes theorized that nervous disorders result from extended periods of anxiety caused by an oversensitized mind. This state can come suddenly and be caused by an event, or occur gradually and be caused by living with an unbearable ongoing situation that causes anxiousness and stress. Her techniques are designed to teach people how to get control over their state of mind. She will simply teach you how to deal with feelings of fear and dread. Finally, she helps people to understand their physical symptoms and how they relate to their mental state.

You can read an article about anxiety attack causes here.

Her treatment explains what nervous fatigue is and how to cope with it and all the strange and frightening symptoms, both physical and emotional, that it brings in its wake. She also deals with depression which she refers to (in this context) as depletion. It is as if the sufferer has been hitting the panic button and flooding the engine with adrenaline for some considerable time and the battery is flat. Dr weekes will tell you how to recharge the battery. Dr. Claire Weekes is a master at reassuring her readers, and listeners of her audio programs, that they’re not alone and that there is nothing wrong with them.

If you are suffering from panic or anxiety and you want some more information including free audio recordings of Dr Weekes work, you can visit Anxiety Assist for help.

The exact causes of anxiety are pretty difficult to determine, although basically doctors suspect brain chemistry, genetics and environmental stress as major contributors to the development of such psychological disorders. Not even the therapeutic mechanism of the medication prescribed for the alleviation of symptoms is not fully known or explained. From this perspective it seems like a nervous disease has lots of unknown elements in the equation, and that symptoms are easier to treat than the causes. In spite of that, anxiety help doesn’t have to be hopeless, on the contrary, a full recovery of the health condition can result from the adequate combination of therapy and medication.

Brain chemistry seems to be one of the causes of anxiety since the abnormal levels of the neurotransmitters are responsible for the panic episodes. Information travels from never to nerve via these chemicals called neurotransmitters. The brain gets incorrect messages, when the brain chemical secretion is faulty, and the reaction is often anxiety. Genetics play an important part among the causes of anxiety, other than brain chemistry, since the occurrence of the disorder is higher in families with mental illness history. Thus, the brain sensitivity is inherited and passed on to the next generation.

Traumatic life events are other causes of anxiety, but it all depends on the sensitivity of the person in question. Thus, frequent job or school changes, divorce and emotional problems or the death of a dear person could lead to anxiety and depression. Anxiety disorders usually become worse during periods of intense stress, with the mention that it affects most of the people who try to discontinue the use of an addictive substance. Thus, quitting smoking, or eliminating alcohol and caffeine can be more than a simple challenge if you suffer from generalized anxiety disorder.

Pregnancy for instance is another great life change that may cause temporary anxiety, but it all depends on the subjective individual factors and sensitivities as well. Then, the use of drugs like cannabis, ecstasy, LSD or amphetamines can also trigger anxiety in different forms and at various intensity levels. Some causes of anxiety can be identified in daily life; in fact, from a certain perspective, stress is the key to a successful career sometimes. Therefore, the causes of anxiety don’t have to be pathological; in many cases they are easy to identify and eliminate with proper relaxation and the right attitude.

ADHD meds are not miracle drugs that instantly get rid of all ADHD symptoms. The meds may not work properly and also cause side effects. To find the right levels and types of meds can take time in order to get good results. Here are five tips on how to best work with doctor in order to obtain the finest from ADHD meds.

Tip #1: Find a Good Doctor

It is necessary that you find a doctor that is eager to supervise the medication and your child. To ensure that the treatment given is appropriate and that you find the right type of treatment or ADHD meds you have to find a specialized doctor in treating ADHD or mental health disorders.

The second thing to do is to commence with the lowest dose and adjust as needed.

The prescription of ADHD meds is not based on age or weight. The lowest dose possible and then adjust it up if needed is the best way to start for a good doctor. Doctors will usually allow three to seven days to elapse between adjusting doses and run an adhd test.

The reason for giving the lowest possible dose is that side effects get more common and more severe with increased doses. Plus there is no need to over medicate as this can often lead to a zombie-like state that is one of the top reasons parents top giving their child the medication.

Tip #3: Use the medication every day, consistently.

Some parents want to give their child the ADHD meds only during the week and then do not give it to them on the weekend. This type of dosing will not give accurate results.

It used to be common for doctors to recommend parents do this, but new research suggests that not giving the medication consistently can cause the medication to not work as efficiently. It can also lead to problems with getting the child to take the meds or resent going to school because they have to take the meds.

The fourth thing to do is to ask everyone to get involved in watching for side effects of the meds.

Most children are diagnosed with ADHD due to combined efforts of teachers, doctors and parent. It only makes sense to medicate as a group effort. Everyone should watch for how the medication affects the child. Having teachers, doctors and parents on the lookout can greatly improve the chances of ensuring the right meds are found and used.

The fifth thing to do is to comprehend the effects of diet on ADHD meds.

Child’s foods affect some meds given for ADHD. High fat diets can reduce the efficiency of meds. Ritalin can not be absorbed into the body properly by drinking acidic drinks or drinks with a lot of Vitamin C. You should also watch on any add symptoms with other possible interactions.

Unless there is a real direct cause that triggers a panic attack, the diagnosis of anxiety panic disorder is very likely. Usually, there is a casual dimension to such an ailment that starts with some accidental or incidental anxiety bout.Usually, before turning into anxiety panic disorder, any panic attack could be accidental and unique of its kind.

Normally, a panic attack reaches its peak intensity within a minute or two and then decreases to a state of normality over the next thirty minutes or next several hours. The specificity of an anxiety panic disorder comes from the frequency of the attacks, usually of an unequal intensity. Thus, one gets to suffer from several such anxiety bouts every month, which is enough to feel terrorized and threatened all the time, thus worsening the condition and deepening the fear.

Most patients of anxiety panic disorder are women between twenty and thirty. The problem has a lower frequency rate in older or younger age groups; plus the common cause behind it is some form of separation trauma the patient went through as a child. The beginning of an anxiety panic disorder may be gradual or abrupt, meaning that you can start having symptoms some time in advance before the full anxiety bout, or the panic may strike you out of the blue.

There is often a difficulty in diagnosing many cases of anxiety panic disorder because of the inconclusive nature of certain medical tests. Many people thus spend their years looking for solutions with various specialists until they finally get to the bottom of the problem. The patient’s condition is also likely to aggravate if the diagnosis and evaluation are not correct. On the other hand, many diagnosed patients start avoiding certain situations for fear of developing an anxiety episode.

Some of the situations or locations that sufferers from anxiety panic disorder avoid include social reunions, classes, meetings or church services, shopping malls, restaurants, airplanes, elevators and so on.If not treated properly, an anxiety panic attacks could ruin one’s life, causing depression and destroying all the good parts of that person’s existence.Plus, anxiety and its symptoms will be a lot more difficult to face in the cases of alcohol or substance abuse and self-medication.

Fact is science is not yet fully sure of how it all really happens or of a sure solution that will always work. However, there are hundreds of sufferers who have taken to methods which are relatively new and which have been integrated into a program which sufferers can easily follow and start benefiting from almost immediately.

You can have a look at what is on offer to see if you like it. Here’s the link:Stop Panic Attacks Now Though there are many similar sounding programs that may be of help to you, this one is found to be the most successful that has already helped more than 27,000 sufferers around the world.

[Disclaimer: Before taking any medical advice you should make it a point to become knowledgeable in the subject and you should consult your Doctor]
